Abstract

1377788 Turbine blade fixing MOTORENUND TURBINEN-UNION MUNCHEN GmbH 15 Feb 1972 [20 Feb 1971] 7034/72 Heading F1T The roots 2 of ceramic turbine blades 1 are mounted in a circumferential slot 4 in a steel rotor 3 with shims 6, 7 of highly elastic sintered metal felt predeformed beyond its plastic limit being disposed between co-operating surfaces. The percentage composition of the metal felt may be:- 1.5 Co, 22 Cr, 9 Mo, 0À6 W, 18 Fe, 0À10 C, 1À0 Si, 1À0 Mn, balance Ni. Alternatively the alloy may be Co based. Blades 1 may be of silicon nitride. The shims may be brazed in position.
